TORONTO, July 28, 2016 – David Gordon, Managing Partner of Cohn & Wolfe | Toronto, today announced the addition of several new hires who will help service the company’s growing roster of clients and amplify the agency’s existing expertise in consumer packaged goods, healthcare and digital strategy.

Public relations veteran Caroline Verboon makes her return to Cohn & Wolfe as senior vice president, where she will oversee clients in the fashion, beauty and consumer packaged goods sectors. Ms. Verboon brings more than 20 years of public relations and marketing experience to Cohn & Wolfe.

Most recently she ran her own agency, where she spearheaded successful programs for a diverse range of clients including David’s Bridal, Bacardi, Coca-Cola, Amazon Kindle and Nest Learning Thermostats. In addition to her role at Cohn & Wolfe, she is currently an instructor at University of Toronto’s School of Continuing Studies, where she is teaching Foundations of Strategic PR.
“Ms. Verboon’s return to Cohn & Wolfe after a multi-year absence speaks to the strength of the firm’s culture and entrepreneurial spirit,” said Mr. Gordon. “As we grow the agency, we continue to build upon those strengths with the addition of new hires who embody the firm’s pledge to dig deeper and imagine more for our clients.”

Also new to the team is Senior Counsellor Jennifer Obeid, who brings with her 16 years of communications expertise, most recently in progressively senior leadership roles with Sunnybrook Health Sciences Centre, Cancer Care Ontario, and Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital.

Cohn & Wolfe strengthened its digital expertise with Daniel Cappe who, as a Senior Counsellor, is leading the charge on digital campaigns across a variety of Cohn & Wolfe’s clients. Prior to joining Cohn & Wolfe, Mr. Cappe developed highly successful digital campaigns for clients in the retail, technology, media, healthcare and beauty sectors.

Senior Counsellor Lauren Cosentino rounds out the firm’s latest hires. Ms. Cosentino brings with her more extensive experience managing marquee brands in food and beverage, entertainment and consumer packaged goods, including Canada Dry Mott’s, Subway Restaurants, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation, Unilever and Wrigley Canada.
