MONTREAL, January 28, 2015 – André Bouthillier, Managing Partner of Cohn & Wolfe | Montreal, is pleased to announce the hiring of Pierre Langlois for the position of Director of Public Affairs and Government Relations.

An economist and public affairs specialist, Pierre Langlois holds a Master of Economics from l’Université de Montréal. He also studied econometrics at the London School of Economics, and actuarial mathematics at Concordia University.

On the professional side, he has notably been Chief of Staff for the Quebec Minister of Finance and the Economy (Minister Delegate’s Cabinet), Research Coordinator for the Bureau du prolongement du métro de Montréal (Cosime Consortium – Hatch Mott McDonald), Director of Government Relations and Speaker for the Quebec Federation of Real Estate Boards (2003 – 2011), Political Advisor for the Quebec Minister of Finance, the Economy, and Research, and Associate Researcher for the Conference Board of Canada.

“Along with Pierre’s arrival, we wanted to expand the scope of our services to businesses and organizations in the public and private sectors,” said Mr. Bouthillier.

“Public relations firms offer services to businesses for strategic consulting, public positioning, and press relations. At the same time, accounting firms, legal firms, and engineering consultant firms are developing service offers in strategic consulting, impact studies, quantitative analysis, and social acceptability. The goal is to combine the two into a comprehensive strategic consulting offer with added value,” he added.
