Blending the science of management and the art of communication
When Larry began his career as a communications consultant over 25 years ago, his mission was to shake up the corporate world and instruct clients on how management can use effective communication to achieve their business goals.
Larry went on to lead a variety of communications initiatives for clients in energy, the arts, construction, retail and agriculture, tackling everything from crisis situations to charitable causes. He has advised many of Calgary’s corporate leaders in their time of need during booms, busts and new beginnings and is considered one of the best in the business.
Energy and opportunity
Much has changed in Canada’s energy landscape over the over the last two decades, and Larry navigated the up’s and down’s alongside his clients every step of the way, offering valuable insights and trusted counsel to many international and intermediate energy players in Alberta’s oil patch. From the unexpected Trust reversal by the federal government, to growing public demands for community involvement and accountability, Larry has helped clients find opportunity in uncertainty and build strong corporate brands during the transition.
Reputation built on results
From handling media at the 1988 Winter Olympic Games, to advising clients on how to respond to line breaks, explosions, mad cow disease, accidental hospital deaths, lost funding, product failure, executive murder, bribery and fraud, Larry’s extensive media relations expertise helps clients ensure they get in front of issues and clearly convey the relevant information before someone else distorts the story. Larry’s policy of ‘walking the talk’ has served his clients well and allowed him to build his own reputation as one of Calgary’s preeminent communicators.
